Keele Smith joined Montana's News Station in 2010. She worked as a camera operator and reporter at KPAX-TV in Missoula while attending the University of Montana. After graduating with a B.A. in journalism, she joined the KBZK news team as a reporter in June 2013.
During her senior year, Keele spent four months in the state Capitol, reporting daily on the 2013 Montana Legislature for the UM School of Journalism. She also contributed to the Emmy award winning college newscast UM News, a weekly show that aired on news stations around Montana. As a senior, Keele won first place awards for TV Feature Photography, TV Sports Reporting and TV Sports Photography in the Society of Professional Journalists' Region 10 Mark of Excellence Competition. She was a national finalist for TV Sports Photography.
Born and raised in Southwest Virginia., Keele is happy to bring a little southern flavor to Big Sky Country. In her free time, you'll likely find her exploring the Gallatin Valley, whether it be on the rivers, slopes or trails.
