HELENA, Mont. (AP) - An Illinois woman who had dropped her lawsuit against "Three Cups of Tea" author Greg Mortenson has now joined two Montana plaintiffs in their suit against the writer.

On Monday, former teacher Deborah Netter joined plaintiffs Michele Reinhart and Dan Donovan in their suit filed in Missoula claiming that Mortenson fabricated events in his books about humanitarian work in Central Asia to get people to buy them.

All three purchased "Three Cups of Tea" or Mortenson's later book, "Stones Into Schools."

Netter dropped her federal lawsuit earlier this month. Larry Drury, her lawyer, says the plaintiffs decided to join forces and that Montana would be the best place for the lawsuit.

Mortenson lives in Bozeman, where he is recovering from open-heart surgery. He has denied fabricating anything in the book.
