Before the Bozeman Saddleites, a horseback precision drill team, can perform their famous pinwheel, they have to meet the doctor. And so do their horses.

Dr. Don Funke is a chiropractor who works with humans, but he also works with horses.

Dr. Funke believes that many horse problems are actually human problems. When humans get out of alignment, Funke believes that they cause horses to have soreness or go lame.

Diane Hoyle was having multiple problems with her 8-year-old quarter horse, Abe, so Funke went to work, and 10 minutes later, Abe was running without a limp.

Jeannette Hahn couldn't get her 12-year-old horse, Jet, to perform properly so once again Funke's hands went to work, and Hahn reports that Jet is now performing perfectly.

Funke came to Montana to be a horse trainer, but quickly decided that his chiropractic skills could do more good. Since then, he has worked on hundreds of high performance animals from race horses, to jumpers, to barrell racers and ropers.

By the way, he chrges $50 to adjust a human and $75 for a horse. Maybe horses are more valuable.
