Horse Trailer overturns on Frontage Road, 1 possibly injured

A horse trailer overturned at the intersection of Frontage and Springhill Roads in Bozeman Sunday afternoon. Police say the truck towing the trailer was headed west on Frontage Road, when a jeep waiting at the Springhill intersection turned right on a red, forcing the truck to slam on the brakes. The trailer then jack-knifed and slid into the ditch, tipping on its side. Police say the driver of the truck and the horses that were being hauled are being checked for injuries. The difficult job now is righting the 25 foot trailer. The jeep left the scene, but according to the police, the mother of the driver called and reported that her son may have caused the accident.
