An Anaconda woman is accused of stealing money and groceries totaling around $3,000 from Safeway while working as a checker.

Adriana Guindon, 18, made her initial appearance Wednesday morning before District Judge Ray Dayton in Anaconda.  She is charged with felony theft.

Guindon was caught on surveillance video stealing money from a cash register during her shift, according to court documents. The store's manager and a loss prevention specialist say Guindon admitted to stealing money, items including DVDs and groceries over a six-month period.

She is scheduled to answer to the charge next Wednesday during her arraignment.
