This spring's flooding and high water have been great for rafting companies, but have made those in the fly fishing industry try to find new ways to do their jobs.
Rod King from the Bozeman Angler shop says high water is nothing new for fly fishing. He went on to say that what is unusual about this year is its a June problem instead of a May issue.
Toby Swank from Fins and Feathers says repeat customers to his business are changing booking plans. Instead of booking fishing trips now, they're waiting to hit the rivers in August.
Both men agree there will be benefits from this spring's high water, later on, namely flood waters are cleaning out years of drought caused debris. They also encourage anyone heading to Montana's rivers now to be extra careful, or better yet, be patient because it will be great fishing soon.
