Club De I'Epagneuel Breton, also known as French Brittany of the United States, will hold its national meeting in Wilsall this weekend.

The French Brittany dog is the smallest of the pointing breeds.

There are several events planned for the meeting, including meetings to discuss the state of the breed in the U.S. On top of the meetings there will be several field events. The field events will be judged by a total of five judges, two of which are from France. Some field events scheduled include open field and gun dog trials.

Events are scheduled from Wednesday starting at 7am through Saturday evening, just outside of the town of Wilsall. A special guest will make a presentation on Saturday at a banquet in the Clyde Park Community Center. There will also be silent and live auctions.

The event currently has over 130 dogs registered and will take place Wednesday through Saturday just outside of the town of Wilsall.

Organization member Ken Bruwelheide says that many members of the Wilsall/Clyde Park community have opened their homes to help host this event in the area. Bruwelheide is excited for the event and is looking forward to having this national meeting here in Montana.
