BOZEMAN - It's official: Bozeman's newest elementary school will be named Meadowlark.
The Bozeman school board approved the name at a meeting today.
The school will be up and running with 10-12 classrooms this fall. The school should be completely finished by November. Between 160 to 200 students are expected to attend.
An online poll was conducted to gain community input on the name. Meadowlark won the online popular vote by a landslide for the name the eighth elementary school. It received more than 200 votes than the other top two finishers in the poll - Spanish Peaks and Caroline McGill.
