What better way to spend a rainy winter Saturday than planning a wedding?

Saturday's 10th Annual Bridal Affair was ground zero for wedding planning for 2012.

Blushing brides could be seen huddled up with their moms of their BFFs, scoping out everything from wedding photographers to cake makers.

"There's that special moment at every wedding where you'll see it in the couple's faces when they make that connection," says Megan Jacks of After 5 and Weddings.

And in some cases grooms could be seen, mostly in-tow, looking a little dazed.

"We entice them with the cake and catering tasting," says Jacks.

Seventy five eager vendors were on hand, ready to help plan the big day.

"It's important to hire a coordinator so that you get all those details taken care of for your wedding so you have a stress free wedding day," says wedding coordinator Abby Turner.

"From just a first idea for a wedding they are planning a year to a year and a half out or they already have 95 percent of everything accomplished but they just need those last couple details or they're looking for a great, fresh idea for their table setting," says Jacks.

The center-piece of the event was a bridal fashion show.

"You can see all sorts of wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses, a hug selection of tuxedos and suits. We'll be showing it all off," says Jacks.

"Today's trends are bright and bold colors - lace - beautiful - romantic," says Turner.

And yes, at the end of the day it's all about that dress.

Turner laughed when we asked her about that.

"To the bride, it is, but the dress gives you a lot to work with in terms of design and creating the look around the dress."

Jacks agrees.

"When the wedding march is played and everyone stands up to watch the bride walk in - that's the center-piece, that's what they're looking at and it's all about how the bride feels on her wedding day - she wants to feel the most beautiful she's ever felt and finding the right gown is really helpful for that."
