Big changes are on the way for a longtime North 7th Avenue mainstay.
KBZK has learned that the Vans IGA store will be closed by Aug. 1.
The Florida company that owns the building has notified all of its tenants that their leases will not be renewed. Those tenants include the Bridger Station Post Office that we told you in March would be closing its doors by May 11, a branch of First Security Bank, Price Rite Drug, Planet Bronze and a barber shop.
The grocery store has been a fixture for longtime Bozeman residents for more than 40 years.
We contacted the owner of Vans about the closure and he declined comment.
KBZK has learned that after the August grocery store closure, the rest of the tenants have been told to be out of the building by Jan. 1, 2013.
On tonight's 10 p.m. newscast, we'll speak to the Harrington brothers, Randy and Dennis, business owners who have had a family connection to the North 7th location for more than 30 years.
We'll find out what this means for Price Rite Drug and Planet Bronze.
