BILLINGS-The Billings Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with six other chambers throughout the state. They put together a 27-point legislative agenda that touches upon issues like higher education, tax and community development.
This is the fourth legislative session the chambers have prepared an agenda. The city chambers include Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell and Missoula. "A partnership such as this is extremely powerful. A voice from one community is useful, but the voices of Montana's seven largest communities are very difficult to ignore," said Billings Chamber/CVB Director of Government Affairs and Business Advocacy, Bruce MacIntyre. "Presenting this united front will create a very commanding presence for our chambers in Helena."
The seven chamber organizations began meeting in November to create the agenda. They represent over 5,600 businesses who employ more than 100,000 Montana residents.
