Authorities need help finding missing Montana man

MISSOULA - The Missoula County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in finding Josh Carter who hasn't been seen since last week.

Carter, 27, was last seen on Friday, Sept. 7 when he walked out of the Frenchtown Club bar, got in to his truck and drove away.

He has not been seen since, and the Missoula County Sheriff's Office and Josh's family is asking the Missoula community to help them find him.

Josh's mother says that it's not like her son to just take off without telling anyone.

The family is unaware of any issues of depression or thoughts of suicide, according to a news release.

Jason Johnson of the Missoula County Sheriff's Department says that Josh has not answered his cell phone, and that search efforts by deputies, family, and friends have so far offered up no new information on his whereabouts.

Josh is 5'11", about 225 pounds, and has short black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a yellow and black "CAT" ball cap.

He was driving a yellow 1974 Ford flatbed pickup with Montana license plate 4-34237A.

Anyone with information about Josh is asked to call Missoula authorities at 406.258.3452 or their local law enforcement agency.
