Chief Joseph Middle School got to see some video from out of this world today as astronaut Ricky Arnold paid them a visit.
Arnold, who worked on the international space station in 2009, spent 12 days in space and had a chance to share his adventure with Chief Joseph's 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
"There were a few people who actually spent some time talking to me when I was a kid and got me excited about it and I ended up fortunate enough to be a part of the space program. And I hope 1 or 2 of these kids wants to be a part of the space program 1 day or at least is a supporter of what we do and what we try to do," says Arnold.
Arnold is in town attending the Project Wet Foundation's International Water Conference. Project Wet is dedicated to helping bring water education to children, parents, teachers and community members of the world. Find out more information about the foundation right now by clicking here.
