Yellowstone National Park is waiving admission fees this weekend, Jan. 15 to 17, in conjunction with the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday.
The park joins all national parks across the U.S. in waiving the fees.
Access to the interior of the park during the winter months is restricted to guided snowmobile and snowcoach trips from the north, west, south and east entrances. The North Entrance and the road from Gardiner through to Mammoth Hot Springs and Cooke City is open to wheeled vehicle travel all year.
A seven-day pass to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks is normally $25 for a private, non-commercial vehicle.
