The spectacular scenic drive for charity has taken off.
The Going to the Sun Rally revved up Tuesday morning to begin a five-day vintage car trip.
Vintage cars filled the Homewood Suites parking lot off of 19th Avenue in Bozeman Tuesday morning. Drivers were anxious to get going after coming from places as far as Pennsylvania.
"It's an opportunity if you own cars of this type to really drive them the way they were meant to be driven back in the day," said co-driver of a 1973 Ferrari Dino Bruce Peron. "And Montana has such fantastic roads and scenery and everyone is so welcoming, it's a really pleasant experience."
The entry fee to participate this year was $4,500 per car and half of each entry fee goes directly to charity. This year donations go to the Vetts 4 Vetts organization, and for $5 you were able to enter a raffle to win a special edition Corvette.
