Happy almost Friday everyone! Expect the beautifully sunny skies to continue into your Friday with mild temperatures also hanging tough. High pressure currently situated over Montana will continue to lead to these warm conditions over the next 36 hours or so.
As we head into the Labor Day weekend, expect conditions to slowly progress to much more unsettled fall-like weather, compared to the summer-like start we are experiencing now.
A cold front currently over the Pacific will move into the area late on Saturday into Sunday, increasing clouds during the afternoon hours on Saturday. By Sunday, rain will invade our area along with cooler conditions as well. Highs will drop close to 20° from Friday through Sunday.
As the cooler, showery weather moves in, expect possible snow as snow levels are forecast to drop to around 7,000 feet Sunday night, before rising back to 8,000 on Monday. If you are planning on recreating up in the mountains this weekend, please plan for possible winter-like conditions across the area.
