NW flow aloft will pave the way for a little valley snow and a better chance for accumulating snow over mountains and passes this weekend. First storm drops in Friday night into Saturday and the 2nd storm Sunday through Monday. At this time forecast models are telling us snow accumulations of 1" or less is possible for valleys in SW Montana but a few mountain passes could see up to or over 3" of snow.  ...

Deep trough over much of the western and central United States will continue to pull colder air from the North in Canada down into Montana and at night temperatures will likely fall below zero for several more days. Temperature trend for the month of February are running in the top 15 coldest across SW Montana. Average temperature for Bozeman so far is 16.5° and this is the 13th coldest February on record...
